The Challenge
Rose Scale's relationship with Task Force Engineering built up over years, starting with free phone support on projects, including some outside Rose Scale's usual service territory in Quebec. Over time, Task Force began routing local scale and foundation work to Rose Scale directly, so their own team could stay focused on core building and site work. On a Waste Management project, the end client's approved vendor list, driven by strict IT and security requirements, only permitted Fairbanks instrumentation. Fairbanks is a U.S. brand with no established Canadian dealer network at the time, which meant sourcing and supporting that equipment wasn't something most Canadian scale companies were set up to do.
What Rose Scale Did
Rather than turn the project down, Rose Scale became a Fairbanks dealer specifically to meet the requirement. The team delivered two full truck scale replacements, including new concrete, new foundations, and new instrumentation, in six weeks against a twelve-week timeline, learning the new equipment as the project moved forward.
The Result
The project strengthened trust with Waste Management directly, and opened the door to Rose Scale becoming one of the only Fairbanks dealers in Canada. It has also led to additional project referrals from Task Force since.
